Inphotos

Whenever I come across sites like InPhotos I always feel a bit jealous. Donncha O’Caoimh has been taking photos for years and setup InPhotos to show off his work and boy is it impressive!

A lot of the photos are of his native Cork, but there are also quite a few of other locations.

Well worth adding to your RSS reader.

How To Get A Site Mentioned On Coolsites.ie

DSC_6194

I’m more than happy to mention sites that I like or think are cool.

However, in order to preserve my own sanity, submissions / suggestions have to be sent via email to submissions@coolsites.ie

Please do not post about your site in the comments or send me random emails – they’ll just get deleted.

I use both Linux and Mac OSX (Firefox 3) , so if your site only works in Internet Explorer I won’t be able to see it. (Of course if you send me a brown paper bag full of 50 euro notes then I may reconsider this position, but that would be bribery!)

If I can’t see it I can’t mention it, unless I launch a sister site to this one – suggestions to date include un.coolsites.ie – though I haven’t put that live as yet!

Download Music Legally

One of the things that I love about the internet is that it can be a wonderful equalizer. You don’t have to have a huge budget or be a millionaire to get your “stuff” out in front of millions of other people (although you’ll be lucky if a small fraction of them ever see it).

DownloadMusic.ie is a wonderful concept for both independent artists and punters alike.

They’ve even released a USB album:

Pretty cool!

Uploading and Sharing Photos Irish Style

Thumbnail image for pix.ie logo

Pixie is Ireland’s new online photo sharing community! We provide you with a safe place to upload, share and permanently store your photos online.

For once it’s nice to be in a position to use a site’s own description and not have to resort to inventing my own!

If you want to store your photos online easily then Pix.ie could be the place for you!

Circus Vegas

Circus VegasWhen I was a lot younger my mother took me to the circus, as did my grandmother. That was a long time ago, but I still have fond memories of the magic that was the “big top”.

CircusVegas.ie is the official site of an Irish touring circus and is bright and colourful and very, well, “circus like”.

They’ve even got a blog, which I thought was pretty cool.
